For years there has been an argument that homemakers are better than working women. Some people think that a homemaker will raise better kids. Every coin has two sides, some people think that working woman can contribute financially.
A homemaker thinks that working woman has liberty to live and a working woman thinks that the homemaker can relax whenever they want. Why do we have these conflicts? Why do we take homemakers or working women for granted? Both have their own priorities.
There are many working women who are great mothers and homemakers. We have great examples of such women who are managing their families with their professional lives. For example, our Pakistani TV celebrities are working even after marriage. Our celebrities no longer believe that married means end of profession. Is Stress your Reason for not Travelling?

Why do people do not travel? What are the reasons? According to Aglobalstroll, people do not travel because of the following reasons.

• Expensive
• Family does not allow
• Cannot travel alone
• Cannot get off from work
• Fear or stress

What is your reason for not travelling? Is stress your reason for not travelling? Whether you are travelling for work or leisure, travelling should be fun not stressful. Do you remember the anxiety you felt when you travelled for the first time in your life? I still remember how stressed I was. There were so many things that were going on in my mind. Will the plane reach at the connecting airport on time? Will I be able to take my connecting flight? What if I sleep at the connecting airport and miss my flight? Will I be able to get a taxi after reaching my destination? Will I be ever able to come back home? What if I lose my phone, how will I contact my family? Ahhhhh forget it. I will share some travel tips which I have personally experienced and this might be helpful for you too.

Plan your trip
Check the temperature and keep clothes accordingly. Plan your trip based on your itinerary, Visit a City is a very good application to plan your itinerary. Book your hotel online, there are many applications and websites available like TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Agoda.com, etc.

Don’t rely on your memory when preparing and packing
Make a list of all important things that you might need while travelling. Pack your bag accordingly. Make a list of things to do.

Pack a week before
Do not pack at last minute. Pack your bags at least a week before so that if you have forgotten anything you can pack.

Arrive Early
Your car can break down, you might forget your passport at home, there is a traffic jam, …… anything can go wrong. Be at the airport before time. Try to avoid all unnecessary circumstances that may arise.

Online Check in
Check in your flight online to save your time from long queues.

Expect the unexpected
Expect cancellations, not getting a taxi, cannot find the hotel, late arrival at the airport, missed your connecting flight, lost your ticket, phone or luggage……… anything can happen just be prepared mentally. If you will be stressed in such situations you will just have panic attacks instead relax and think what alternates do you have. Download applications that will help you in finding your solution. Download Uber for Taxi, Google Maps for finding your Hotel, write important phone numbers and keep it safely in different bags, keep copies of passport and tickets in every bag, carry extra cash or card in case you miss your flights. Key to stress free travelling is Relax, Relax, Relax. Be prepared!

A small bag for flight
Keep a small bag in your carry on with all necessary items that you might need for flight like earphones, chewing gum, earbuds, travel pillow, etc.

To avoid hassle of security. Pack your carry on smartly. Pack all your liquids that are less than 100 ml in a plastic bag. I have got beautiful 100 ml bottles from IKEA. If you are carrying laptop, tablet or camera keep it handy. It will be easy to put these things separately in a tray during security check. Wear shoes that are comfortable and easy to remove for quick security check. Try to wear less metal items.

If you have long connecting flights download your own entertainment (TV shows, movies, songs) and carry your favourite books so that you do not get bored.

Never assume that your travelling will be unpleasant. There will be unpleasant days during travelling and rest of the time there will be smooth travelling. Why should you Travel?

Whenever you feel that you are exhausted, overworked, too stressed…. just take a break from life and travel. Travelling is the most beautiful and amazing experience. I feel that travelling has changed my perception towards life. I can put the missing puzzles of my life into right places so that I do not feel lost into a dark mess.

It gives me time to think about myself without losing the essence of my life in the world. Whenever I look back, these stimulating trips help me in looking at my life in a different way.

Travelling makes you a happier person but how?


• learn about new cultures

• learn to deal with new people

• learn to deal with unexpected situations

• start appreciating your family and home

• make new friends

• stay away from social media

• get to spend time with yourself

• have food for thought

• have a sense of achievement in your life

You become…

• more social
• more confident
• adventurous

Travelling does not mean that you should spend on expensive holidays, it means to go on an experience where you meet yourself. Travel locally, nationally, or internationally. It can be a very reasonable and inexpensive destination based on your budget because experience counts not exotic places. Do not run to cover the world or to show off that you have seen so many places. Travel for a memorable and relaxing trip.

In short, why should you travel? Because it changes your life. Also, because you want to and it changes your boring routine. So what are you waiting for just pick up your tickets, pack your bags, and get set go!!!

Gardening for Healthy You!!!

Do you want to start a new hobby? A hobby that reduces stress, makes you feel fresh or happy. Would you like to start gardening? But do you live in an apartment and think that you need a proper garden for it? Living in an apartment doesn’t mean that you should live without plants.

It’s been over 4 years since I started gardening. My experience has been amazing. I live in an apartment so my gardening endeavor started off with just three pots. Now my apartment’s balcony is full of plants. During this journey, I have noticed that spending even 10 minutes a day made me feel fresh and happy. My daily gardening activity involves watering plants. It’s really soothing to see the plants grow.

There are many reasons to start this hobby. Gardening is not only enjoyable but it has health benefits too.

Gardening improves your mental health and relieves your stress. According to the recent research by Bakker Spalding it was found that 88% of people felt mentally better after spending time in the garden. Also, according to Wageningen University and Research Center, gardening can help in reducing stress levels as it reduces the level of cortisol (the stress hormone). I have experienced this myself and can assure this.

Gardening not only keeps you active but because of reduction in stress level it can prevent heart disease, obesity, diabetes and other diseases.

According to a study published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s disease gardening can reduce your risk of Alzheimer’s disease by 50%. Another research found that gardening is very engaging for dementia patients and can have a positive impact on their life.

Just start with 2-3 plants in your balcony and experience this amazing hobby. If you still don’t feel inspired then just start any activity you love, as it works like tranquil for you. ‘Do what you love’, as written in my previous blog (Pineapple Cream Cheese Dessert) and your stress will be reduced.

Pineapple Cream Cheese Dessert

Sometimes you are too stressed to do anything. You just want to lie down and relax. But wait is this a good option? Or should we do something we love? According to many researchers to reduce stress you should be involved in activities you love. For me the best remedy to reduce stress is cooking. But seriously, if you have any other tips on how one can stay away from stress– I would love to hear your tips.

So, I will share this recipe which helped me in reducing my stress. I made Pineapple Cream Cheese Dessert with biscuits, pineapple, cream cheese and cream. It is very simple to make but key to success is that it should be served chilled.


1 pack of Marie biscuits (Large)
1/2 cup butter (unsalted)

150 gms Happy Cow cream cheese, softened
8 tsps powdered sugar (can be added more according to your taste)
200 ml frozen Olper’s Cream
2 small cans pineapple, drained well (1/3 crushed, 1/3 small cubes for filing and 1/3 small cubes for garnishing)


Crush or Grind biscuits.
Melt butter in microwave.
In a bowl mix grinded biscuits and melted butter.
In the serving dish (ideally should be flat and square shaped) set the mixture at the bottom. If the mixture is too dry use pineapple’s syrup to give it the moisture.
Keep in the Freezer for 1 hour.

Beat Cream at high speed. After the cream’s texture becomes foamy add cheese cream, crushed pineapple and sugar then beat again.
Add 1/3 small cubes of pineapple in the cream.
Keep in the Freezer for 1 hour.

In the serving dish add cream filling set it and garnish it with remaining pineapples.

Pineapple Cream Cheese Dessert is ready to serve 🙂

Tip: For better results freeze it for an hour.
